For this third-year assignment from college, I was given the creative freedom to design and create a vector self-portrait. The notion of the assignment was to research and propose a type of vector style and include a background theme that best suits you and your interests. I decided realism was my style approach, I definitely stepped out of my comfort zone as I didn't know what to expect and I knew it would take a lot of time and patience, which it did. I would admit that I am a perfectionist, so my goal was to continue and finish what I started. All the time, energy, and detail spent were worth it in the end. As for my background element, I decided to illustrate my favourite place and memory which is my family cottage. I chose to include cedar trees, rock walls, and dragonflies to represent my love of nature and time spent up north.
