This cereal box was a third-semester project from a class called 'Design Art', one of my illustration classes that incorporated traditional art with graphic design. The "Milky Rings" name and space theme were planned between myself and a team before we each proceeded to work individually. The steps I took before finalizing the vector artwork, I designed my cereal mascot inspired by Buddy, my beloved Jack Russell. I hand-rendered the background, title, cereal, and mascot. I re-rendered the dog before I mortised and pasted all elements to form a final layout. I made improvements once I vectorized the design by rearranging the title and making it larger. One thing I am proud of about this piece is the good feedback I received for my hand-drawn cereal and milk. I was encouraged to keep the original cereal drawing in the final composition instead of vectorizing it.
