'Sammy's Sammies' is a (made-up) sandwich business that requested a design for both an app and a website. The idea was to include a rewards program/form of 'gamification' that would excite more customers to use the app. I was supplied with names and prices for menu items and an outline of criteria. The rest was up to my creative freedom!
The design of this interface had plenty of inspiration in the process. Similar apps use circles and rounded corners, mouth-watering cover images, and a carousel layout for the menu. There is a unique tweak to a simple UI pattern which is having a real hamburger symbol at the top right as opposed to the typical three-line 'hamburger' navigation. I thought orange was the best appetizing, warm colour to suit Sammy's Sammies. Orange combines great with dark blue, those colours together make a great quality and appealing brand for Sammy!
